Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or whether you are signed in — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.

We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage (client-side storage built into your browser). Where this policy refers to "cookies," it covers all of these technologies unless stated otherwise.

2. Cookies We Set

The table below lists the cookies and storage items we set directly from quadeai.com, grouped by purpose.

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

  • Session cookie (HTTP-only, Secure): Set when you sign in. Keeps you authenticated across page loads. Expires at the end of your browser session or after 30 days if you choose "Stay signed in."
  • CSRF token: A short-lived token that protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Expires with the session.

Functional cookies

These cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience but are not strictly required.

  • Locale preference (localStorage): Stores your chosen language/region so we can display content in the correct locale on your next visit. Persists until you clear browser storage.
  • Theme preference (localStorage): Stores your light/dark mode selection. Persists until you clear browser storage.

Analytics cookies

We use analytics to understand how visitors use Quade so we can improve the product. No data is sold to third parties.

  • PostHog (analytics): PostHog sets a persistent cookie (ph_*) to identify returning visitors and session cookies to track individual sessions. Data is used exclusively for product analytics and is retained for 12 months. See PostHog's privacy policy.

Payment cookies

When you interact with our billing or checkout flow, Stripe sets cookies to process payments securely and detect fraud.

  • Stripe (payment processing): Stripe sets cookies such as __stripe_mid (one year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes) to remember your device for fraud prevention. These are only set when you visit a Stripe-powered page or interact with a Stripe element. See Stripe's privacy policy.

3. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to the cookies listed above, some pages may load embedded content or scripts from third-party services. Those services may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. The third parties we currently use are:

  • PostHog — product analytics
  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud detection

We do not use advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels.

4. Retention

Each cookie's retention period is listed in Section 2. As a general rule:

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain until their expiry date or until you delete them manually.
  • localStorage / sessionStorage data persists until you clear your browser's site data (localStorage) or until the browser tab is closed (sessionStorage).

5. How to Opt Out

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:

Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Quade. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use any features.

We are building a consent management banner that will let you adjust non-essential cookie preferences directly on this site without changing your browser settings. It will appear here once available.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or the way we operate our service. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
